Magick Potion
What's a soup?
A soup is a hot magick potion. And, soup is good for the spirit.
So, for this magick potion, let's review:
Essentially, a soup is made of:
a) water;
b) whatever else you lay your hands on; and,
c) salt.
The water, the salt [earth] and the fire are three of the elements. Add your incantations [air], and your intentions [spirit] we have them all...
Step 1:
Take a suitably large cooking pot. Get out your magick wand [if you use one].
Stand the cooking pot on the work surface, tap it three times with the wand, or, your outstretched finger, and say:
One two three
This here pot
A cauldron be!
Step 2:
Run tap water into a jug, or use bottled water.
Hold the jug/water bottle close to your heart, close your eyes and say:
Water of might,
Water of life,
Water of light
Bring your blessings!
Pour the water into the cauldron.
Step 3:
Turn on your stove.
Hold out your hands over the fire so you can feel the heat radiating (DON'T get burned!) and say:
Fire glows in the night
Fire shines like the sun
The transformation has begun!
Put the cauldron onto your hearth [stove].
Step 4:
Now you can get creative.
Each item added to your magick soup will serve a purpose by itself, and a greater purpose overall.
Suggestion: a minimum of one piece of meat, stock, and (at least) three different colored vegetables, one red, one golden, and one green. Smaller pieces cook faster and, helps meld the flavors better.
Bring out each item at a time, dramatically. Get it ready (unwrap it, clean it, chop it) and then give it a magickal purpose. For example:
Bring your essence,
Make us proud and strong!
[Throw it into the pot whilst saying:]
So mote it be!
Use the above four line spell for everything you add to the pot, or make your own incantations for each addition.
-the green vegetable can be dedicated to prosperity, wealth and money;
-the yellow vegetable can be for joy, sunshine, happiness;
-the red vegetable for health and well being;
-add noodles and dedicate them to having a happy family;
-potatoes for luck and good fortune;
-different herbs and spices, each with its own magickal dedication, let it flow.
Step 5:
When everything is in the cauldron and simmering, it's time to bind it all together with the salt.
Everyone involved in making this magick potion adds their own blessing using a pinch of salt. Ration out the salt so it doesn't end up tasting too salty.
Let each up close to the cauldron with their pinch of salt and say:
From (insert name)
.... and throw the salt into the soup. Finally, the potion-maker, going last, says:
Bring us together,
And bring us joy.
So mote it be!
Now get the table ready- bowls, with bread and butter, anything else you wish. Decorate the table.
Step 6:
Ceremoniously bring the cauldron to the table and place it in the center. Have a ladle ready.
The potion-maker says:
We have made this meal together
In love and in joy.
We give thanks to All with in the Universe Myriadis.
Now ladle out the soup, and name the person as you fill each bowl, such as:
With all our love!
Step 7:
Say grace, enjoy your magick soup, talk about your wishes, your dreams and experiences and welcome blessings in all ways!
~As always, make this your own as I have.
